■ One person. One voice. In public.

About
Bambi.

Bambi is a queer Kenyan writing, speaking, and building a platform for queer stories, education, art, and events. This is a one-person project. Everything here is personal.

"I started this because I needed it to exist. Then I kept going because other people did too."

— Bambi

Who
is Bambi?

Bambi is a queer Kenyan — a writer, educator, and community organiser working at the intersection of personal storytelling, identity, and art.

This platform began as a place to write honestly about a life that didn't always have language for itself. It has grown into something larger: a home for stories, a stage for queer artists, a space for education, and a board for community events.

Bambi writes, speaks publicly, and organises events. The Collective is Bambi's invitation to other queer Kenyan artists to share a stage. The event board is Bambi's way of saying: your events matter, and this platform is for you too.

This is not a corporation, a charity, or an NGO. It is one person, working with clarity about what they believe and why they are doing it.

Everything on this platform is published with intention. The stories are real. The education is grounded in lived experience. The art is by actual people. The events are run by and for the community.

If you want to get in touch — to share your story, submit art, list an event, collaborate, or just talk — the door is open.

■ What guides this
01
Story Ownership

Every story on this platform belongs to the person who wrote it. Bambi does not claim ownership over contributed work. Artists retain all rights to their art.

02
Honesty Over Performance

Nothing here is curated for palatability. The stories are true. The education is frank. The art is unfiltered. Performing comfort for an audience is not the point.

03
Community Without Gatekeeping

The Collective is open. The event board is free. This platform does not charge queer artists to be visible or queer people to be informed.

04
Privacy & Safety

Bambi does not collect unnecessary data. Contact forms are for communication only. Artists and writers can contribute anonymously. Your safety matters more than traffic metrics.

"One queer Kenyan voice, telling the truth — in public, on purpose."
